Rowan Pitch Contest Fall, 2011
Welcome to the Rowan Fall, 2011 Elevator Pitch Competition!
Elevator pitch is a frequently used term, which literally means “tell me about your business within the time that it would take to ride up an elevator.” Each year we conduct two contests -- one in the fall and one in the spring -- for students from the Entrepreneurship and Innovation course. Last year's contests involved over 150 students whose pitches were critiqued and rated by a pool of 90+ RU alumni judges. Judges give each pitch feedback on strengths and weaknesses. The 10 top-rated competitors present their two-minute business pitch before a live panel of judges on October 7. The winners are announced at the end of the event. The top three winners are sent to the National Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization Conference located in Chicago, Illinoise. The top winner in the SPRING contest is RU's automatic entry in the national elevator pitch contest. The Fall 2011 CEO conference and pitch contest is to be held in Fort Worth, Texas.
